The Master Roofers Guarantee Corporation (or “MRGNB”) is set apart from other roofing organizations via the standards set forth in it’s specification manual, which, when adhered to results in a state of the art product. A roof constructed by a member of the MRGNB can be regarded as a “high end” product, one what will meet and often exceed customer expectations. In the roofing industry, this is referred to as a roof that performs.
Customers
The benefit to building owners comes in the form of the 5 year guarantee offered by members of the MRGNB. To begin with, the product they pay for is designed and constructed according to the MRGNB Book of Roofing Specifications. Beyond the tangibles however, lies peace of mind; each member contractor is a shareholder of the MRG Corporation and member posts a guarantee bond with the Corporation. This means that if there is a deficiency with the roof 2 to 3 years after application, and the contractor is not available, or doesn’t respond to the warranty, then the owner has the right to contact the MRGNB and the MRGNB will look after whatever deficiencies exist. This is what the MRGNB refers to as a third party warranty, and what it means is that a customer is not left solely depending on a single contractor. At present, the MRGNB is the only organization of its kind in the province and the only one to offer this type of guarantee.
